About Aaron

I am currently a member of the Dowco Triumph Street Pipe Band, a Grade 1 competition and performance pipe band from the Greater Vancouver area, British Columbia, Canada.  Through much work and quality instruction from many valued mentors, I have achieved my goal to  be one of the highest ranked amateur bagpipe players in North America, and I continue to actively compete throughout the United States and Canada.

I have been playing the bagpipes since the age of 10, first with my grandfather and then later with professional bagpipe instructor and performer Kevin Auld.  Before joining Dowco Triumph Street in 2010, I held the position of Pipe Sergeant for the Northwest Junior Pipe Band, a non-profit youth bagpipe band and three time Washington State Grade 4 Band Champions.
